What do these mean?

Hi Everyone,

Here is the title of an article I was reading:

"Writer spills what she wishes she had known during her younger years."
Ok, what do you think it means? Hint: If you can figure out what "spills" means, you can figure out the rest of the sentence.

What does it mean to "dish the dirt?"
Hint: Some people like to "dish the dirt" about other people. As a matter of fact, "dishing the dirt" about movie stars and other famous people seems to be a very popular thing to do.

Bye,bye,everyone, and good luck. Mark

"dish the dirt"
if someone dish the dirt on you, it means that he or she says something bad about you wihtout thinking it is true or not.

As for "spill" in the sentence, I guess it means that the writer "reveals" something.

Hi Sarah,

Well, since you are the only one to take a guess, I will give the answers.
To dish the dirt means to gossip. Thus, people often like to dish the dirt about famous people.

Also, you are right about the "spill."

Thanks for the post, Sarah.
Bye,bye. Mark
